HORCRUXES - Dayeanne Hutton Cover from "I SHIP IT"

This is a slight departure from my usual types of posts about being thrifty, but there is a tie-in.  Did you know that there is an amazing world of free entertainment on Youtube? There are webseries, channels with original content, comedies, films, music and instructional videos for everything under the sun!

This post is about Dayeanne Hutton. I think she has done a wonderful job covering the song "Horcruxes" from the short film I Ship It. The film was written by Yulin Kuang and stars Mary Kate Wiles, Sean Persaud and Joey Richter. The original song was written by Kirstyn Hippe. It is performed on the ukulele with vocals.

There are so many wonderful things to see on youtube! I hope that you will enjoy watching this and I hope that you will subscribe to Dayeanne's channel "Brain Soup". I am sure that it will be quite clever and entertaining!

You Know You're Old When...

Well, if you want to feel your age, just watch the Grammy's!!! I know most of the names of performers, but not their music. Then when I hear the music I have to change channels because it just sounds like a bunch of noise to me!

This sounds familiar from when I was young and my parents said the same things about my generation's music. I guess some things never change!!!

Free Books or Music on iTunes

Stop by any Starbucks, and they will usually have an offer for  free music or free book downloads to iTunes that you can load onto your iPhone, iPod or iPad.

There are usually business card sized offers at the front counter that you can grab to use. Each card has a code printed at the bottom and an expiration date.

The current  pick of the week book offering is the "Best in Travel 2012" . I will definitely be downloading this book to see what travel tips I can find!

Making Music

There are so many interesting things out there that I learn about through facebook! This link was posted by one of my daughter's friends. I had no idea what it was, so I followed the link and was faced with a big dark grid. Play around, you will be amazed and will feel like a modern composer. Who thinks these wonderful things up?! Have fun.
