Recycle Apple Products for Money

I discovered this recycling program today while looking through the Apple Store at refurbished items. Which, by the way is another great way to buy Apple products at a discount!

Apple will evaluate your used Apple electronics. They will either give you a gift card in the amount they value your item at, or they will recycle it for you at no charge. Either way it's a win-win!

Here is what their website says:

Get an Apple Store Gift Card for the value of your old device.

Turn that iPhone, iPad, or computer — Mac or PC — you’re not using anymore into something brand new. Send it to us and we’ll determine if it qualifies for reuse. If it does, that means your device has monetary value that we’ll apply to an Apple Store Gift Card, which you can use for purchases at any Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store. If your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC doesn’t qualify for reuse, we’ll recycle it responsibly at no cost to you.

Best Buy - Trade In and Trade Up on Apple

Best Buy is offering a Trade-in and Trade up offer on Apple Products!

I have never tried this, mainly because I am a little slow to acquire Apple Products, but it definitely sounds like something worth looking into if you have Apple technology that you would like to upgrade!

You can get up to a $200.00 Best Buy gift card when you trade in any tablet or smartphone! Sounds like a deal to me! This offer is good until February 1, 2014.

Apple Festival in Oak Glen, Free Family Fun

What a great way to celebrate fall! Visit the Oak Glen Fall Apple Harvest in Oak Glen September 1 thru November 25.  Growers sell apples, fresh-pressed cider, pies and other apple products. You can also pick your own apples and berries, picnic, enjoy live entertainment and special events and enjoy a free day in the fresh air with your family!

iTunes U

Did you know that you can increase your memory by actively learning, reading and listening? On Apple iTunes U, there are more than 800 universities that have active iTunes U sites. About half of these institutions — including Stanford, Yale, MIT, Oxford, and UC Berkeley — distribute their content publicly on the iTunes Store.

In the Beyond Campus section of iTunes U, students can  access a wealth of content from distinguished entities such as MoMA, the New York Public Library, Public Radio International, and PBS stations.

For institutions that have a larger mission to spread knowledge, there’s no better way to connect with people who are ready to learn than with an iTunes U site. Anyone with iTunes and access to the Internet can benefit from an institution’s wealth of information. I may not be able to get a degree, but what's stopping me from learning and stretching my knowledge of the world? Maybe I will try to learn a new language!

I can't wait to see what free knowledge is available to me!
