Insurance is Confusing

Insurance is confusing and who do you turn to and trust to guide you through the maze?  While travelling, I have found that I am exposed to a lot of different radio shows and talk shows that I am not aware of at home. One of these is Dave Ramsey. Some of his discussions make a lot of sense and I wanted to share his thoughts on insurance, as a basic guide. At least it is a sound place to start.

Getting the Perks of a Full Time Employee, When You Are Not!

In this economy there are a  lot of freelancers out there who have to hustle from job to job. They sometimes miss out on the advantages of company health insurance plans and other benefits. There are a growing number of organizations and websites offering resources and services for freelancers including health insurance, product discounts, job boards and networking.

One of the free groups to join is the Freelancers Union. Enter  you zipcode on the benefits page and they will list group rates on medical, dental, disabilty and life insurance in your area.
