"Cord Nevers" Drop Paid TV

I read about this a couple of weeks ago.  2014 will probably be the first year that pay tv subscriptions will decline. The answer is obvious, there are more choices through streaming and internet.

A person can customize their own viewing habits by maybe subscribing to one service such as Netflix (7.99 a month plus one month free), Hulu (7.99 a month plus one week free) or Amazon (rent a movie or show for $1.99 and up).

You can watch most television shows the day after they air for free right on your computer on the network's website!  So you may be one of the many who are dumping their cable and satellite companies and just relying on your internet service to bring you valued entertainment!

For me, well I don't watch much tv but my husband does. But very soon I am planning on calling my satellite company to ask to be dropped so that I can talk to the retention department and get my bill lower!

Update to Filling in the Blanks

Just a quick update to my previous post about filling in the blanks. I did buy both items I was hoping to buy. I bought the wii Fit plus Balance Board online at Office Depot because I had accumulated around $50.00 in a gift card from reward purchase points. The product was $10.00 dollars more there than the lowest price I found on Amazon, but I got free shipping and used the gift card and my out of pocket expenses were around $43.00. Not Bad for a product that was over $100.00!

As for the wii Epic Mickey game, Amazon and Best Buy had it priced the same at $39.00 so I opted for instant gratification and picked it up at my local Best Buy store. As always, I researched the pricing on Price Grabber first to see what the lowest price point was to beat and then when to each website to verify the pricing before making my decision.

Filling in the Blanks!

Now that Christmas has past, it's time to fill in the blanks of presents not received but wanted! I don't mean to sound selfish, it's more like now that we have a new family wii game, I would really like to have the Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board to help me get started, or rather, ready for New Year's resolutions of getting in shape!

The wii was our big family present to ourselves and I love it! We only have the sports resort games that came with it right now, but we have been testing each game and learning how to move or set up the controls. It certainly keeps my mind working trying to figure out all of this new technology. My daughter would like to have Epic Mickey, so today I will begin my online search for the best deals. Hopefully there will be some good ones out there.

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas!
