This is a strange topic, but one that deserves your attention! It is too easy to forget about the extremities, especially as we age. I need to put on my glasses just to be able to focus on my toe digit region! My sister mentioned that she had an ingrown toenail and I realized that I have also been neglecting my feet.
My nails had grown a bit long so I decided to trim them. I usually wait until after I have showered when they are softer and easier to clip, but being in a hurry I clipped them dry. Big mistake! They are so brittle when they are dry, and easily trimmed incorrectly. I did the best I could do with this misguided action, took a nail file to smooth down the jagged edges I left, and then slathered my toes with moisturizing cream before I put on my socks. This is a great way to moisturize and pamper your toes and feet and I highly recommend it!
Next time I will do it properly. I will wait until they are soft and pliable and cut them neatly and straight across. I really don't want to risk the pain and discomfort of a hang nail or ingrown nail.
Do you know what else I discovered? Feet are funny looking!!!
Ta Ta for now...
