Do you want to have a party but just don't have the money to pay for the whole thing? Well here are a few great ideas to get you going!
1. Baked Potato Party. Potatoes are relatively inexpensive, especially if you buy them in bulk. Bake them up and set out bowls of sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, lettuce, olives and other toppings. If that's still too much for you to handle, supply the lettuce and sour cream and ask you friends to bring a creative topping to share!
2. Potluck. Nothing is cheaper or more creative than having a potluck. You can have a theme party such as Mexican, Asian, Italian, Indian, International or Salad and let your guests get creative! Then guess who gets the leftovers?!
3. Dessert party. Skip dinner and just eat dessert, we all enjoy that part the most anyway! You supply the coffee, milk and plates, and let your guests bring their favorite sweet treats to share.
4. Taco party. The most expensive part of this dinner would be the ground meat. Try stretching the beef by adding cooked rice into it. Buy the ground beef on sale, in bulk, supply shells, refried beans, rice, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes onions and hot sauce and you are set. Maybe your guests could bring the beers or margaritas!
